I was born and raised in West Virginia. As an only child raised by my grandmother, I grew up on well water with no phone, no washing machine, and a coal/wood-burning stove. My fondest memories as a young child were running around barefoot during the summer and, as I got older, riding my dirt bike everywhere if I could find gas to syphon. I received two associates degrees from Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 1990, one in specialized technology and another in CADD computer systems management.

Early in my career, I worked at an architecture firm and often heard about what it was like working at THP. Within months I set up an interview with THP, and after over 30 years I am still happy to be here.
